SFM Prayer Letter December 2025

Thanks be to the Lord Jesus Christ for His coming into the world out of love and bringing salvation. In this time of awaiting His second coming, may we listen to God’s voice in quiet solitude each day; guided by the Holy Spirit, through spiritual exercises such as meditation and introspection, may we enter deeper into His true presence.

1.Pray for “Connection with God”

The Advent meditation meeting “Waiting Towards the Light” began on December 2nd, and two more Zoom meetings will follow, themed “Life and Joy” and “The Perfection of Love.” May the Lord draw us with His presence, and through the weekday “Lectio Divina” audio files, Tuesday evening group meditations, and small group sharing, may our hearts be anchored in Christ, receiving the hope, peace, joy, and love that His incarnation brought.

2.Pray for “Connection with Oneself”

Although the SF courses in the US and Canada are temporarily unavailable online this month, may the Lord guide each participant through devotional assignments and reading spiritual books, leading them to open their hearts in His accepting love and allowing God to truly enter into their daily lives. We also pray that the Lord strengthens the participants as they continue to practice while waiting, becoming acutely aware of His companionship and accepting their limitations and imperfections in faith.

3.Pray for “Connection with Others”

The SF3 participants will soon be transforming their inner reflections into outreach actions, serving those in need around them with the mercy of the Lord Jesus. We pray that the Holy Spirit will guide them “from the heart,” whether participating in community/social care or designing lesson plans in small groups that integrate “focused life service and spiritual shaping,” experiencing and witnessing the wondrous presence of God’s grace.

4.Pray for Enrollment in the Cantonese Spiritual Shaping Course

May the Lord personally attract more Cantonese-speaking brothers and sisters to yearn for Him, enabling more people to receive spiritual renewal and enter into a deeper connection with the Lord, with themselves, and with the community.
