SFM Prayer Letter April 2026

“To everything there is a season.” We offer our heartfelt thanks to God that, through the ministry of SFM’s “Walking with the Lord,” He has accompanied His beloved children. Through various spiritual disciplines and mutual support within the community—and in accordance with His own timing and rhythm—He has continuously enriched their inner lives, enabling them to bear fruit in the Lord.

1. Looking to the Lord in Preparation

The U.S./Canada SF1, U.S./Asia SF3, and the Cantonese Spiritual Formation courses are all nearing the completion of their academic year. This is not an end, but rather the beginning of a new season of walking with the Lord.

We pray that the Lord will help every student remain constantly connected to Him in their daily lives, preparing themselves so that God’s work may continue to deepen and take shape within their lives. We also ask the Lord to remember the faithful collaboration and dedication offered in Him by the teachers and the team of small-group leaders.

2. Looking to the Lord for the Silent Retreat

This year’s Silent Retreat has now entered its intensive planning phase. This event is not merely the annual spiritual gathering that SFM fellow travelers have come to anticipate; it represents a precious moment of spiritual communion—a transition from connecting online to meeting face-to-face in person.

We pray that the Lord will lead every participant—amidst the busyness of their daily lives and church ministries—to set aside this time to be silent before the Lord. May they find solitude with Him, realign their relationship with Him, and recalibrate the direction and rhythm of their lives. May this enable us to watch over one another, hold one another accountable, and walk forward together in unity—for apart from Him, we can do nothing!
