SCM Prayer letter August 2026

Pleroma Schools for Girls

Thanksgiving:

  1. Thank God for the successful completion of the high school Gospel camp; through the camp, students had the opportunity to learn about the Gospel, reflect on life, and experience God’s presence.
  2. Thank God for the smooth completion of the primary school’s internal competitions, allowing students to learn and grow in an environment of safety and joy.

Prayer Requests:

  1. Please pray for the Grade 12 students; we ask God to grant them wisdom and focus as they prepare for the upcoming national exams, and to give them peace of mind so they may perform to the best of their abilities.
  2. Please pray for the end-of-term exams for both secondary and primary schools; we ask God to ensure the arrangements proceed smoothly and to grant students the wisdom and strength to complete the final stage of the academic year.
  3. Please pray for the parent-teacher meetings and the year-end ceremony in August; we ask God to bless the preparations and enable teachers, students, and parents to reflect on God’s grace over the past year together as they look forward to the new academic year
  4. Please pray for the students’ parents; we ask God to grant them wisdom and patience to support and encourage their children during the exam period, and to work hand-in-hand with the school to cultivate the students’ character and learning attitudes.

Pleroma Home for Girls & Pleroma Women Ministry

Thanksgiving:

  1. We thank God for providing temporary housing for a woman and her young child through the women’s ministry, enabling them to restart their lives in a safe and stable environment.

  1. We thank God for preserving the two girls from the Daughters’ Home as they re-establish contact with their mothers and gradually mend their parent-child relationships, taking a significant step toward family reunification.

Prayer requests:

  1. Please pray for the two sisters who will soon be moving into the “Girl’s Home.” We ask God to safeguard their physical and mental well-being, help them adapt to their new living environment, and enable them to gradually build a sense of security amidst love and care.
  2. Please pray for all the girls and women currently receiving support, including four women recovering from trauma and girls navigating legal proceedings. We ask God to heal their wounds—body, soul, and spirit—protect them from intimidation, and manifest justice so that their cases may proceed smoothly.
  3. Please pray for PWM’s collaboration with local government bodies, courts, and various partners. We ask God to foster excellent working relationships, ensuring that girls and women in need receive timely and appropriate protection, support, and legal assistance.
  4. Please pray for the PWM team. Whether they are conducting out-of-province visits, following up on cases, or carrying out daily ministry, ask God to grant them wisdom, strength, and peace. May He preserve their physical and mental health, enable them to work in unity, and empower them to faithfully serve the girls and women in need.

Pleroma Community Center (PCC)

Thanksgiving:

We thank God for watching over the kindergarten students as they grow in a healthy and joyful environment, enjoying their learning and building friendships, while also coming to know and experience God through His love.

Prayer request:

  1. Please pray for the students taking their final exams. May God grant them wisdom and focus, helping them to do their best and enjoy the fruits of their learning.
  2. Please pray for the graduation ceremonies of the kindergarten and weekend ministries. May God ensure that all preparations and arrangements proceed smoothly, allowing students, parents, and staff to count God’s blessings together.
  3. Please pray for the enrollment process for the 2026–2027 academic year. This year, PCC will launch a K1 class (for three-year-olds) for the first time; may God guide the admissions process and bring the right students and families, giving more children the opportunity to grow within a Christian educational environment.
  4. Please pray for the PCC staff team. May God grant them unity, wisdom, strength, and good health as they collaborate and serve wholeheartedly in preparing for the new academic year.
