SCM Prayer letter November 2025

Pleroma Schools for Girls

Thanksgiving:

Opening day of Girls’ Secondary school

Thanks be to the Lord, the new school year has started smoothly in both secondary and primary schools. Teachers and students have cooperated well, the school operations have been stable, and student numbers have increased. We thank God that the team can continue to dedicate themselves to teaching and care in a stable environment.

Prayer Requests:

  1. Pray for the school’s important events this month: The secondary school will hold a walkathon on November 14th; the primary school will hold Gospel Week from November 10th to 13th. Pray that the Lord will ensure a smooth preparation process, allowing students to be inspired and experience God’s love and encouragement through participation.
  2. The primary school will hold a parent workshop on November 27th. Pray that the Lord will prepare parents’ hearts so that the school and families can trust and cooperate with each other, accompanying children as they grow and establish themselves.
  3. The secondary school is recruiting new teachers (including English teachers and IT/computer science teachers). Pray that the Lord will prepare dedicated and loving colleagues to join us. We also remember the wisdom and balance of the Discipline Committee in handling student behavior and care needs; and we pray that the Lord will protect male teachers so that they may maintain clear boundaries and serve as a good witness in their interactions with students.

Pleroma Home for Girls & Pleroma Women Ministry

Thanksgiving:

  1. Pleroma Home for Girls (PHG):
Thank God, a girl has successfully completed her secondary education and entered university; we are also grateful that a girl who has experienced complex trauma is now living a new life in a more peaceful and supportive family environment; at the same time, we have also successfully welcomed a new girl into our home.
  2. Pleroma Women Ministry (PWM):
Thank God, a case involving the women we serve has reached its final verdict. The court has sentenced the abuser to ten years in prison and ordered him to pay 20 million Riels (approximately US$5,000) in damages, bringing a degree of justice and relief to the parties involved.

Woman, colleagues, and the legal team posed for a group photo after the verdict, witnessing that justice was heard and life was seen again.

Prayer Requests:

  1. Pray for all the girls living in the Girls’ Home. Pray our Lord to help the newly enrolled girl gradually adapt to her new environment; may God comfort the girl who failed her Grade 12 exam and is temporarily unable to attend university, so that she may feel supported and encouraged as she searches for a new direction, and experience God’s grace in the process.
  2. Pray for the two girls who previously lived in the Girls’ Home and have since returned to the community. Due to limited educational resources in their original communities, we are assisting them in returning to Phnom Penh to continue their education. Pray that the Lord will protect them as they smoothly adapt to their new learning stage and experience God’s provision, companionship, and growth during the transition.
  3. Pray for a case still awaiting legal proceedings. Ask the Lord to pave the way for the person involved, so that justice may be served, and grant the team the wisdom and gentleness to accompany her on her difficult journey.
  4. Pray for the team’s spiritual sensitivity and patience in accompanying the girl through trauma recovery and rebuilding her family and sense of security. Also, in women’s ministry, pray that the Lord will guide the team with clear direction and strategies in building new collaborative networks and establishing trusting relationships with families and local community leaders.
  5. Pray for the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of our colleagues, their safety in ministry, and their emotional stability. Especially in handling high-trauma cases and promoting social enterprise expansion, may the Lord strengthen and guide us, so that more girls and women may receive practical support and life renewal.

  2. Parent workshops will be held on November 9th and 15th. Pray that the Lord will guide the team with wisdom in the preparations, and that the Lord will move parents to participate willingly, receiving support and help through sharing and exchange.
  3. The kindergarten will hold an off-campus activity on November 26th. Pray that the Lord will protect the overall preparations and grant the children a safe and enjoyable learning experience on that day.
