The more you serve, the sweeter it is

Thank God for leading me to the Cambodia FiCF Community Center. I have already been serving the center for 8 years, and I am feeling more comfortable living here and enjoying the lifestyle and festivals with Cambodians.

Many people think Cambodia has a hot climate; for me, it is very suitable. The weather in the country is scorching hot and humid from March to May, wet and rainy from June to October, and dry and cool from November to February. It makes someone like me, who doesn’t like the cold, feel delighted. Subtropical fruits are rich and delicious. Every year, we look forward to the mango season in March and April when we can taste many different varieties of organic mangoes. I like to make my own special mango jasmine tea. I have also tried making cakes using the whole piece of mango. I deeply feel that my service in Cambodia is becoming sweeter and sweeter!

Let more children to know the Lord Jesus

The school year for FiCF Pleroma Kindergarten started in November last year. The new class of 32 K2 students was filled within 9 days, and K3 was soon filled as well. Thank God that we can spend a happy time learning with 72 kindergarteners in 2024-25, and also to learn about God from the Bible. During the registration period, some colleagues reported that many parents were inquiring when the K1 (3-year-old) class would start. Due to insufficient space, we were unable to open this class in the short term. However, I deeply hope that the Pleroma kindergartens can open K1 in the near future so that more children will have the opportunity to know our Lord Jesus.

Full of joy and meaning

Thanks to God’s provision, we had a very fulfilling Christmas last year. First, a medical team consisting of Western doctors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists and an evangelical team from Hong Kong provided free medical treatment to the villagers. More than 100 villagers and children came for treatment and received help. Thankfully, we also have other churches and short-term ministries with much support. In the month of December, we hosted a Christmas celebration with the kindergartens and the communities. We have evangelistic events, mini markets, and made the whole month filled with indescribable joy and meaning!

Due to limited staff and space at the community center, we are currently focusing on serving children. We very much hope to serve more parents and youth in the community. We hope that in the future, missionaries or local co-workers will be inspired to join the area of serving parents and work together to develop FiCF community work in Cambodia.

The Abundance Blessing

Thank God that He has led and supplied us through 2024. Last December, my colleagues and I participated in the FiCF “Zero Distance Walk” fundraiser. We raised about US$20,000. May the Lord bless every brother and sister who dedicates themselves to and cares about us.

As we step into 2025, I wish everyone peace, happiness and joy in the New Year!
