Women In Ministries
Affirming women's fullness in identity and mission
Vision
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.(Genesis 1:27)
Mission
FiCF Women in Ministries (WIM) is a platform to serve women who are serving churches, mission fields, and in organizations, with the hope to help, support, encourage and care for them, and walk with them in ministry, so to experience the growth in Christ on the journey.

I
Research on Women in Ministry
Survey Study:
Following upon our surveys conducted in 2001 and 2011, we continue to collect relative data from sisters serving in North America, which include woman pastors, woman ministers, pastor’s wife, female seminarians, as well as Christian Organization female staff members. We will make a special effort on understanding the current ministry conditions of sisters who came from Mainland China, so that we may establish regional support fellowship groups and ministries that better meet their different needs.
Q&A Mailbox:
We have set up a mailbox communication platform especially for women in ministry as they encounter difficult situations. We have seasoned ministers on board who share their experiences to address their related questions. We will also post their answers on this website as well as in our FiCF publications.
II
Supporting Women in Ministry
Annual Retreat:
FiCF celebrated her 20th anniversary in 2021. During this retreat we had a special thanksgiving presentation. We hope the pandemic will soon be under control as the vaccine is being applied nation-wide, so that we may host in-person group activities and celebrations in the coming year.
Women Ministers Fellowship:
In the past decade there have been increased number of students attending North American Chinese seminaries originated from Mainland China. Many of the female graduates have been able to stay and serve in Chinese churches in North America. However, very few of them have attended FiCF regular meetings in North or South California. Our plan is to reach out to them and provide regional supporting groups to meet their needs.
One-on-One Mentoring Network:
This one-on-one mentoring program is designed to help seminarians and/or newly graduated female ministers to lay a solid foundation of wholistic life and ministry. Seasoned women ministers from within the FiCF network will be invited to communicate with them one-on-one at least once a month, making life impacting life possible as they come alongside their younger sisters in their spiritual and ministry journey.
III
Affirming Women in Ministry
Establishing Conviction:
We have formed a team to study and research on Women Characters of the Bible . The goal is to develop a series of Bible-study material on how God empowered and cared for women in the Bible. The material will be field tested in Bible-study camps in order to help church women leaders develop a deeper understanding the heart of God toward women.
Strengthening Spiritual Life:
When it becomes safe to have a bigger gathering in person, the WIM department will be joining forces with the Spiritual Formation Ministry to host Silence Retreats. The goal is to help women ministers practice the presence of God in solitude and regain strength from God.
Providing for women ministers and missionaries (especially single women) a home for retirement has been a dream from God revealed to our FiCF core leaders in the past 10 years. In 2021 we finally initiated the planning phase of this project. It is as Naomi said to her daughter-in-law Ruth: ”My daughter, I must find a home for you, where you will be well provided for.” (Ruth 3:1)
Our Redeemer showed His care for Ruth by providing her a home. Let us follow His heart to consider providing for those women ministers and missionaries, who have given their lives to serving God, a safe place as they age, so that after they retire from full-time ministries, they can still share their life experience and how they fulfill God’s calling with the younger generation of fellow women ministers. Our prayer is that all women in God’s ministries will be empowered to finish well, so that the fullness of Christ may be manifested in all women ministers generation after generation.
